For people not familiar with medical terminology and terms used in nutrition, there are 7 categories of terms being used on this website. All the terms are listed in alphabetical order.

Below are the categories of terms used on this nutritional medicine website:

Body Systems:

The human body (and this applies to animal life as well) has a number of systems. This includes the cardiovascular system, the central nervous system (this includes the brain and the spinal cord), dental health, the digestive system, our hormones, the immune system, muscular system, our vision, and etc. It has become increasingly clear that these systems interact with each other. These systems do not operate in a vacumn. Below is a list of various systems that operate in the body:

Chemicals:

Our bodies also utilize chemicals (they can either be healthy or not). We include chemicals that have been found not beneficial to human health. Some examples are: Bromine (not friendly), Fluoride (depending on the type of fluoride being used, as there are more than one type of fluoride), and Excitoxins. Below is a list:

Various diets have been suggested to deal with a a variety of health issues. Since this is a nutritional medicine website, we have also included cookbooks and specific foods. Some of the terms that fall under this category are:

Key to nutritional medicine are the various nutrients we need. This includes: water, fiber, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fats (essential fatty acids), enzymes, and carbohydrates.
